Week Seven: Civilization Building

This week we'll be building Civilizations!

You will all be split into relatively small groups and given descriptions of planets. In multiple phases, you will use your creativity (and that of your groupmates) to figure out...

Phase 1: What kind of life arises on this planet?
Phase 2: Of the life which arises on this planet, which species achieves intelligence?
Phase 3: How does the civilization, culture, technology, etc. of this intelligent species develop over time?
Phase 4: How does the species achieve interstellar travel, and what do they use this technology for?
Phase 5: Your species meet each other, and the Galactic Congress is founded! You will
get to interact with other groups and alien races as the interplanetary equivalent of the United Nations is established.
