Enigma at UCLA

The Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Gaming Club at UCLA

Enigma includes everyone from undergrads to graduate students and alumni, encompassing every department from both South Campus and North Campus. If you're interested in science fiction or fantasy (whether books, art, or film), or gaming (video games, card games, board games, roleplaying games, etc.), even just a bit, you're always welcome with us.

All Enigma meetings on UCLA's campus are open to the public and are free of charge. There is no formal membership, so drop by any time! Students, staff, faculty, and local community members are all welcome.

Week 9 Announcements

Website Donations

  • We run this lovely website on the paid platform Squarespace, and as such we're reaching out to members and asking if they would be interested in donating to help keep this thing running!
  • Even a dollar or two is helpful, so if you're interested contact Raymond Cothern on Facebook, or shoot and email to enigma.uclaofficers@gmail.com

  • Maxicon is Enigma's yearly convention for Enigmans!
  • We turn an entire house into an organized mini-con with larps and one shot rpgs and TED talks and board games and other yearly enigma traditions. The average Maxicon pulls in somewhere between 40 and 80 Enigmans from all of the eras of Enigma.
  • The event is occurring THIS COMING WEEKEND, May 28th-30th, and is open to all Enigman's, so if you're interested in coming head on over the the Facebook page HERE and RSVP!

  • The date for the next Book Club meeting is yet to be decided, but will be some time during the summer. The book in question is Howl's by Diana Wynne Jones
